An ILL book I loaned came back damaged. What are the rules on damaged or lost books?

Answer

Individual libraries are able to set their own policies for damaged and lost books. OCLC does not enforce a set policy for this. For guidelines on lending, it may be helpful to review the RUSA Interlibrary Loan Code for the United States.

For instructions on how to charge for a lost/damaged item using IFM, refer to this article: How to configure IFM for replacement cost billing for lost items
