My Status Options

Find out how to access and use the My Status tab on the Options window in Connexion client.

Purpose of the My Status Options window

  • Set a default My Status for records in the: 
    • Online and local bibliographic save files 
    • Online and local bibliographic constant data 
    • Local authority save file 
    • Local authority constant data

The system does not save My Status data with online records.

 Note: Although the client applies your default My Status automatically when you use this option, for any particular record, you can change the default My Status if needed any time using Action > Set Status.

Access the My Status Options window

  1. Navigate to Tools > Options > My Status.
  2. Select a check box for the type of record to which you want to assign a default My Status, and enter the My Status in the text field below in free text (max. 40 characters).
  3. Repeat step 2 to assign a My Status to other record types.
  4. Click OK or Apply.

My Status Options window: Features and buttons

Feature How to use
Bibliographic Records check box and text field
  1. Select the check box if you want the client to apply a default My Status automatically to online and local bibliographic save file records.
  2. In the text field, enter the My Status. My Status = free text, maximum of 40 characters including spaces

Default: Check box is deselected.

Bibliographic Constant Data check box and text field
  1. Select the check box if you want the client to apply a default My Status automatically to online or local bibliographic constant data.
  2. In the text box, type the My Status.

Default: Check box is deselected.

Authority Records check box and text field
  1. Select the check box if you want the client to apply a default My Status automatically to local only authority save file records.
  2. In the text box, type the My Status.

Default: Check box is deselected.

Authority Constant Data check box and text field
  1. Select the check box if you want the client to apply a default My Status automatically to local only authority constant data.
  2. In the text box, type the My Status.

Default: Check box is deselected.

 Note:
  • Even though you assign a default My Status, you can change the My Status for any displayed save file or constant data record via Action > Set Status.
  • You can also assign a My Status to apply automatically to:

 

Button name Click the button to...
OK Apply the settings you entered and close the window.
Cancel Cancel any changes you made and close the window.
Apply Apply the settings you entered without closing the Options window. You can continue checking or changing other options settings.
