Receiving the error "Number of fields in delimited text file does not match the number of mapping fields supplied."
- You get the error message "Number of fields in delimited text file does not match the number of mapping fields supplied" when ingesting an item via tab-delimited text file in Project Client.
- CONTENTdm Project Client
The tab-delimited file being ingested has additional characters in the first row that make it appear as though more metadata fields are present than are necessary. This is typically due additional tab characters. The easiest way to demonstrate this is by importing the tab-delimited file back into a spreadsheet program or viewing it in a plaintext editor that can show unseen characters.
If problems persists after editing the tab-delimited file, contact OCLC Support with your CONTENTdm server number, the error you are getting, and attach file you are working with.
