I receive a "The Display Name you entered already exists. Enter a new Display Name," error when I try to access the Community Center.

Symptom

  • When I click on a link, it takes me to the profile page and tells me my name already exists; The Display Name you entered already exists. Enter a new Display Name.

Resolution

"The Display Name you entered already exists. Enter a new Display Name," error occurs if a user’s display name now matches another user. If you get this error, you'll need to change your Community Center user name; try adding your middle name to your current display name.
