New features and enhancements
Hold queue position display now configurable
Your library can now control the display of hold queue positions through a single, centralized setting in the Dashboard. When toggled on, your patrons can see their position in the hold queue for their items; when toggled off, this information is hidden from them.
The new "Display Queue Position for Holds" toggle in the Staff Dashboard provides complete control over whether your patrons can view their position in hold queues. This enhancement allows libraries to implement their preferred policy regarding hold queue transparency.
This feature is supported by the following ILS integrations: Innovative Polaris, Innovative Sierra, Koha, and SirsiDynix Symphony.
Using your ILS with CapiraMobile for additional information and workflows.

Staff Dashboard edits in Firefox now save
Information changes made in the Staff Dashboard using Firefox are now properly saved and reflected in both the Dashboard and the app. Your library staff can confidently edit settings in the Dashboard using any supported browser, including Firefox.
Previously, when your library staff edited information while using Firefox, the changes would appear to save but would revert upon page reload. This made it impossible to update settings through Firefox browsers.
Apostrophes now display correctly
Carousel Titles
Carousel names containing apostrophes now display properly throughout the application. All special characters, including apostrophes, appear as intended when viewing carousel titles in the app.
Previously, when a carousel name entered into the Staff Dashboard included an apostrophe, the app would incorrectly display the HTML entity code "'" in place of the apostrophe. For example, "Today's Picks" would incorrectly appear as "Today's Picks" to users viewing the carousel in the application.
Event Filters
Event category filters containing apostrophes, such as "Children's Programs," now save correctly when creating or editing filters in the Dashboard. Special characters in filter names are now properly supported, allowing for more descriptive and grammatically correct filter options.
Previously, when attempting to create or save an event filter with an apostrophe in its name, the system would fail to save the filter properly. This limitation prevented your staff from using common possessive terms in event category names, requiring workarounds that compromised naming conventions.
Branch Alert
We've improved the Alert Notice functionality in Branch Settings to fully support standard punctuation marks, enhancing your ability to create clear and properly formatted alert messages for your patrons.
Previously, when attempting to create a branch alert with a special character, the app would incorrectly display the HTML entity code in place of the special character.
Event Filters Now Available for Individual Libraries in Consortial Apps
We've improved the event filtering experience for libraries in consortial environments. Your libraries can now configure and display their own custom event filters (such as category, age, and branch filters) within the app's Events feature.
This update addresses an issue where event filter options configured in the Staff Dashboard by sub-libraries were not appearing in the app. The enhancement ensures that event calendars with varied filtering needs can now be properly customized by each of your libraries in the consortium.
Renewals remaining display now properly follows configuration settings
We've enhanced the app's checkout display functionality to correctly respect your library's Staff Dashboard configuration preferences. The "Display Renewals Remaining" toggle in the Staff Dashboard now properly controls whether this information appears in the app for patrons.
How It Works
When you toggle "Display Renewals Remaining" on or off in the Staff Dashboard:
- OFF: Only "Times Renewed" will display (when supported by your ILS) for your users in the app
- ON: Both "Times Renewed" (when available) and "Renewals Remaining" will display for your users in the app
