Applies to

Relais Staff Portal

Answer

As part of the development for Portal 3.9 we introduced the feature to lock the request while staff are processing it. there is also the feature that allows staff to "Unlock a Request" that is currently locked for processing by someone else.

Note: there is a configuration setting to turn this feature off

How this feature works..

Scenario 1:  When I query a request number and a matching request is found. the Request will be displayed and checked out to my staff User.

I complete the request processing task.

When I click on the side menu either Query Request  or an other Queue. The Request is checked  back in and it will move.

Scenario 2: If I am working in a Queue (IE: Search Manual) and I click on a request in the grid the displayed request is checked out to my staff User. When I select another request in the grid the current selected request  is checked  back in and it will move, the new request that is then selected  and it will be checked out

Scenario 3: If I am working on a request  and I click  the log out button the request  is checked  back in and it will move as expected

Scenario 4: If I am working on a request  and I close the Browser IE: I don't click  the log out button the request  will remain checked in to that staff member. This request will not move until the nightly unlock application runs to unlock stuck requests.
