When exporting bibliographic records, I get "An error occurred on the server; please try again later or contact support."

Symptom
  • Error message: "An error occurred on the server; please try again later or contact support."

Resolution

This issue can be caused when the user has old subfield exclusion preferences.

  1. Go to your User Preferences > Exporting Bibliographic Records > General Export Preferences.
  2. Take a screenshot of the Exclusions.
  3. Delete the Exclusions.
  4. Using the screenshot, re-enter the Exclusions.
