Error: Unable to add the record to the bibliographic record export list

Symptom

  • You get the error "Unable to add the record to the [list name] bibliographic record export list." after choosing Record > Send to > Export list when viewing a record in Record Manager

Applies to

  • WorldShare Record Manager

Resolution

This means that something is wrong with the record. First, check to see if the record validates by selecting Record > Validate. If the record does not validate, either make the needed changes to validate the record, or contact OCLC Support to update the record for you. If the record does validate and you're still getting the error when adding it to an export list, contact OCLC Support for assistance.

If your library has a CatExpress subscription, you will not be able to validate the record, so please contact OCLC Support for assistance.
