Error: Invalid code in Encoding Level (Leader/17) Not authorized to use | in Encoding Level (Leader/17)
Symptom
- You are getting an error when saving or adding a record to WorldCat that says: "Unable to save record" and "Invalid code in Encoding Level (Leader/17)
Not authorized to use | in Encoding Level (Leader/17)."

Resolution
To fix the validation error, you need to choose the encoding level for the record. You can click the arrow next to the LDR field to expand the LDR and then choose the encoding level.
