Items selected in a shared collection are not automatically selected by shared libraries

Symptom

  • Library A shares a collection with Libraries B and C. Library A selects a title in the shared collection, but it is not automatically selected by Libraries B and C.

Applies to

  • WorldShare Collection Manager

Resolution

Make sure that the libraries that are recipients of the shared collection have the "Auto Select Titles" box checked in the collection. If that option is not checked, the recipients will be able to see the new titles in the available titles, but they won't be selected automatically. 
 
If the recipients want the full shared version of the collection,  they need to do the following:

  1. Deselect the collection.
  2. Wait for it to re-index.
  3. Re-select the collection.
  4. Re-selecting it in full should automatically check the "Auto Select Titles" box so that future titles will also be selected.
