How do I update Collection Manager with our OpenAthens proxy?

  1. Update your base URL in Collection Manager. Navigate to Institution Settings > Proxy and Authentication > Choose EZproxy.  Enter your base URL from OpenAthens.
  2. Review your WorldShare Collection Manager collections to ensure they are configured to integrate with OpenAthens.
  3. Update your IP addresses in the OCLC Service Configuration with the OpenAthens server IP address. You will need to contact OpenAthens to get this IP. Once you have it, enter it in your institution's Service Configuration as a WorldCat Discovery IP address.
  4. Update your base URL in the Service Configuration with the OpenAthens base URL. Go to OCLC Service Configuration > WorldCat Discovery and WorldCat Local > Full Text and Open Access Links. Enter the OpenAthens base URL in the EZproxy base URL box.
  5. Update your Discovery remote access link in the Service Configuration. Go to OCLC Service Configuration > WorldCat Discovery and WorldCat Local > User Interface Options > Custom Links.
