Why can't I find this article from WorldCat.org in Connexion?
Symptom
- Searches in Connexion do not bring up content found in WorldCat.org
Applies to
- WorldCat.org
- WorldCat Local
- WorldCat Discovery
- Connexion Client
- Connexion Browser
- Record Manager
Resolution
WorldCat.org is an mix of content added by librarians through Connexion as well as content provided directly by data vendors. Records added through Connexion and visible for editing there will appear in WorldCat.org with a OCLC Number.
Material added directly from vendors will appear instead with a Unique Identifier and cannot be found in Connexion. These are usually for records like article citations, book chapters, or archival material.
