When accessing the macro editor, Connexion client crashes.

Symptom

  • When accessing the macro editor Connexion client crashes
  • You receive the error "The RPC server is unavailable"
  • You can create new macros but cannot use existing macros
  • You can use the macro editor when you are running the client as an admin but cannot when logged into a standard Windows profile

Applies to

  • Connexion client 3.x

Resolution

It's possible that a process running in the background on your machine is causing this. Check with your IT team to see if the "Microsoft Power Automate" process is installed and is running in the background. 

If this does not resolve the issue, please contact OCLC Support with details of the issue and the version of Connexion client you are using.
