Resolution

The reason nothing appears to happen, or you get the 'Cannot start process because a file name has not been provided' and accompanying stack trace is because there is no default web browser set within Windows.
Here are instructions for setting a default browser for Windows 7, 8/8.1, and Windows 10.

In some cases it will look like a default browser is set even though it is not.  For each version of Windows below, we will select a browser other than what we want, then select our preferred browser.

Windows 7
  1. Close Connexion client if it's running.
  2. Click Start > Default Programs > Set your default programs.
  3. Select a browser from the list you don't want to use and click Set This Program as Default (this ensures the next step sets properly).
  4. Select your preferred browser from the list, click Set This Program as Default and click OK.
  5. Go to Done.
Windows 8/8.1
  1. Close Connexion client if it's running.
  2. Right-click the bottom left corner on the desktop, and choose Control Panel > Default Programs > Set your default programs.
  3. In the Set Default Program window, select a browser from the list you don't want to use and choose Set this program as default (this ensures the next step sets properly).
  4. In the Set Default Program window, select your preferred browser in the programs list, choose Set this program as default and click OK.
  5. Go to Done.
Windows 10
  1. Close Connexion client if it's running.
  2. Select the Start button, and then type Default app settings > Default apps.
  3. Under web browser, select a browser from the list you don't want to use. It will become the default (this ensures the next step sets properly).
  4. Under web browser, select your preferred browser, it will now show as the default.
  5. Close the window.
Windows 11
  1. Close Connexion client if it's running.
  2. Select the Start button and then type Default apps
  3. Under Set defaults for applications, select a browser from the list that you don't want to use. Click Set Default.
  4. Go back to the previous screen and select your preferred browser. Click Set Default.
  5. Close the window.

From this point forward, any clicks on web links in apps or programs will result in your browser of choice opening up.

Start Connexion client and get MARC Field Help (or another web browser-based option). It should open in your preferred browser.
