Use the User Tools quick tool

By default, the client displays a quick tool for user tools (connexion-client-user-tools-quick-tool.png).

Use the User Tools quick tool to:

  • Assign, unassign, view, or print user tools
  • Use assigned user tools
  • Hide or redisplay quick tools

Assign, unassign, view, or print user tools

  1. Click the User Tools quick tool.
    Or
  2. Click the arrow to the right of the User Tools quick tool and then click Manage.

The User Tools window opens. See Assign custom user tools for user tool management workflows

Use assigned user tools

  1. Click the arrow to the right of the User Tools quick tool.
  2. Select a user tool from the drop-down User Tools menu.

Note: Only assigned user tools appear on the menu. Default descriptions of each user tool are shown in parentheses. If you changed descriptions, the client shows your descriptions.

Hide or redisplay quick tools

  1. Navigate to View > Toolbars.
  2. Select or deselect Quick Tools in the flyout menu. A checkmark indicates that the quick tools are displayed.

Note: For the purposes of displaying, hiding, and repositioning, the Text String and User Tools quick tools are a single unit. You cannot move them separately.

Stored user tool assignments

The client stores any assignments you make to user tools. Assigned user tools are retained each time you open or update the program.

See User files for more information about client customization files and sharing files.
