Why do I get a "No results found" message when I search my Controlled Vocabulary term?

Symptom

  • You get a "No results found" message when you search for a Controlled Vocabulary term on the public-facing site

Applies to

  • CONTENTdm

Resolution

Special characters will break the search index when used in a controlled vocabulary term. These include double quotes, asterisks, percent symbols, forward slashes, etc.:

  1. Remove the special character from your Controlled Vocabulary
  2. Reindex the collection
