Mobile checkout

Discover how to configure mobile checkout options for your app in the CapiraMobile Staff Dashboard.

Overview

The mobile checkout feature of the CapiraMobile app is available by subscription. If you are unsure if your subscription includes mobile checkout, please reach out to your Library Services Consultant.

The mobile checkout functionality is available as a standard screen. To allow patrons to checkout from within the CapiraMobile app, you must first add a corresponding button for it to the Welcome screen or any Custom screen. For more information, see Screens.

When mobile checkout is enabled, patrons can checkout with two methods:

  • By using their mobile phone camera to scan a barcode.
  • By selecting Manual Entry on the mobile checkout screen and typing in a barcode.
