Why am I seeing the error message "The server response could not be understood" in WorldShare Interlibrary Loan?

Symptom

  • Attempting to load a large file (over 120mb) into a lending request returned error message "The server response could not be understood".  The file is too large and causes the server to time out and return error message.

Resolution

If you see this error:

  1. Please attempt to reduce the file size
  2. If that does not work, please contact support with the request ID

Additional information

The current file size limit for Article Exchange is 120mb.
