What is the difference between the ILL Borrower Transaction Detail report and the Borrower Overview report

Symptom

  • The number of requests in the Borrower Transaction Detail report shows a different number than the Borrower Overview Report.

Applies to

  • WorldShare Interlibrary Loan
  • Tipasa
  • OCLC Usage Statistics

Resolution

The Transaction Reports analyze each individual transaction, including every Lender that the request is sent to throughout the process.  This is why the numbers differ; the Activity Report offers a broader overview or requests, while the Transaction Reports provide more specific details.

  1.   The Borrower Activity Overview Report, you can have requests that showed up in this month as unfilled that show up as filled in future months.
  2.   The Borrower Transaction-Detail Level Report, one request can be handled multiple times.  The number of requests is higher than the number represented in the Borrower Activity Report.
