Does having our symbol in a lender string multiple times affect our Days to Respond?

Applies to
  • WorldShare Interlibrary Loan
  • Tipasa
Answer

Yes, the system is going to read each symbol in the lender string individually. If your symbol is entered consecutively, then the request will stay with you by your Days to Respond multiplied by how many of your symbols are in the lender string.

If your symbol is not entered consecutively, then the system will return the request to you once it reaches your symbol again.

This will also have an effect on Automations, as they will run each time the system moves to your next symbol. This is due to the system treating each symbol individually, so it will run through the standard processes each time.
