What are profiled groups?
OCLC's profiled groups are lists of OCLC symbols for libraries associated by geography, membership in an organization, subject matter, or other attribute to enable efficient resource sharing. The largest profiled group is Libraries Very Interested in Sharing (LVIS).
Available with ILLiad, Tipasa, or WorldShare ILL, you can use profiled groups to identify borrowing and lending partners. Profiled groups can be used along with your custom holdings groups for when creating Custom Holdings Paths, setting up automations with the Automated Request Manager, or manually building lender strings on the Holdings screen.
To be added or removed from a profiled group, contact the member organization or email oclcresourcesharing@oclc.org.
