I set up a validation string for my Registration formname for WebValidation, but my RemoteAuth Authentication is allowing everything through

Symptom

• You set up a validation string for your RemoteAuth Authentication in the FormName for Registration n the WebValidation table, but everything for the field is allowed and it should not be working that way

Resolution

If you are using RemoteAuth Authentication, you should be using the NewAuthRegistration formname.  Here are the steps you need to do to fix this issue:

1. You will need to copy each record you have for Registration Formname and change the FormName to NewAuthRegistration.  Save the change.
2. Restart IIS on your Web Server.  
3. If you are hosted by OCLC, please contact OCLC Support so we can restart IIS.
