I am unable to download any Lending Requests and I am getting an error message in the Connection Manager log

  • The Connection Manager log shows an error message 151: HTTP Protocol Error. 403 Forbidden

Here are some things to check to make sure to check to find out a possible reason why you are getting the message:

  1. In the ILLiad Customization Manager, check your OCLCILLAuthorization and the OCLCILLPassword and make sure they are current.  If they are not, then update them.  If you are not sure, send the contact OCLC Support with the authorization number only, and Support will be able to help you with the issue.
  2. Go to the ILL Policies Directory and check your Group Affiliations.  You should see OCLC TRAINING & ILLIAD PARTICIPANT (Group symbol ILLD) as one of the groups.  If it is not there, that is why you are getting the error message.  
  3. Contact OCLC Support with the error message, your OCLCILLAuthorization, and if you do or do not see the Group Affiliation for OCLC TRAINING & ILLIAD PARTICIPANT.
