How do I set up a Z39.50 connection to WMS from ILLiad?

Resolution
  1. Open up the ILLiad Customization Manager.
  2. Beside the Customization tab, click on the Z39.50 tab.
  3. Click on the New drop-down and choose "Other."
  4. Here is an example of how to set this.  The database name will have your institution's registry ID at the end, for example, Z39WMS~1234. You will need a WSKey and your WSKey secret for the username and password.
  5. Server: unified.z3950.oclc.org
    Port: 210
    DBName: Z39WMS~1234
    Username: [Your new wskey]
    Password: [Your new secret]
  6. Your server will have to be on the version of ILLiad released on 14 June 2023 (9.2.1) Database.  It increases the size of the username and password field to hold the WSKey and Secret.
  7.  If you are not on that version you will need to request a server update to the latest version.
