Title History

Access the Title History

To view the Title History for Knowledge base collections:

  1. Navigate to the WorldShare interface > Metadata tab > Collection Manager.
  2. Select a Data Type from the drop-down list.
  3. Select My Selected Collections as the Scope to search across the library-specific collections that you have created or selected.
  4. In the Search Term(s) field, enter your terms or leave the field empty.
  5. Click Search.
  6. From the search results, use the Filter by drop-down to select Knowledge Base Collections.
  7. Open the desired collection.
  8. Select the Title History accordion to view the activity history for the specific collection's Titles.

Title History

Global title

From the Title History screen, you can filter by the following options:

  • Activity Date
  • Edits - Global
  • Edits - Local
  • Invalid Titles
  • Title Added
  • Title Deselected
  • Title Selected
  • Title Updated

The Title History accordion includes the following columns: 

Change Name Field Updated Data Previous Data Global/Local Date [Sortable] Source
Title Updated The Title name and information.

One or more of the following:

  • Author (eBook/Non-Serial)
  • Date (eBook/Non-Serial)
  • Grouped OCLC Numbers
  • Online identifier: eISSN, Other ISBNs
  • OCLC Number
  • Print identifier: ISSN, ISBN
  • Publisher
  • Title Name
  • Title ID (Linking Key)
  • WorldCat Record Attribute
  • [Updated value/s]
  • Created by Automated Process
  • [Previous value/s]

One of the following depending on if the edit in the global collection was globally applied or locally applied:

  • Global
  • Local 
 [Date][Time]

One of the following:

  • Provider Name
  • Your Institution Name (or Staff Name, if enabled)
  • Other Institution Name
  • OCLC, Online Computer Library Center (or OCLC Staff Name)
Title Updated The Title name and information.
  • Journal start & end dates, embargo
  • Journal volume & issue numbers
  • Title URL
  • Notes
 [Updated value/s] [Previous value/s] Local [Date][Time] Your Institution Name (or Staff Name, if enabled)
Title Added The Title name and information.   Global [Date][Time]

Local title

From the Title History screen, you can filter by the following options:

  • Activity Date
  • Edits - Local
  • Invalid Titles
  • Title Added
  • Title Updated

The Title History screen includes the following columns:

Title Updated The Title name and information.

One or more of the following:

  • Author (eBook/Non-Serial)
  • Coverage Depth
  • Date (eBook/Non-Serial)
  • Grouped OCLC Numbers
  • Journal start & end dates, embargo
  • Journal volume & issue numbers
  • Notes
  • OCLC Number
  • Online identifier: eISSN, Other ISBNs
  • Print identifier: ISSN, ISBN
  • Publisher
  • Title ID (Linking Key)
  • Title Name
  • Title URL
