Not authorized to add 040 subfield d

Symptom
  • You are trying to edit and replace an existing NACO authority record and when you select Action > Replace, you get an error message: 040 occurrence [number], $d occurrence [number] - not authorized to add
Applies to
  • Connexion client
Resolution

You cannot manually add a 040 $d to the record. The 040 $d will automatically be added after you replace the record. To resolve this, delete the 040 $d that you entered, and then try replacing the record.
