Connexion Client slow response and typing issues
Symptom
- When typing characters in a record, the text takes an unusual amount of time to show up in the record after pressing the key
Applies to
- Connexion Client
Resolution
This issue occurs mainly on Windows 10 but can also affect as far back as Windows 7. The Windows default is 96 DPI. You may have bumped the DPI up for other software settings. This higher DPI is causing a slowdown in the client. To resolve this, set the DPI back to the default 96 DPI (100%) and try typing in the client.
If this doesn't resolve the problem, try the following:
- Set your display resolution lower.
- Ensure FilterKeys is not turned on. This is in Windows Accessibility settings.
- If the machine uses VMWare Tools, you must revert it to version 11.3.5 of that tool to resolve this.
Other settings on your workstation may be causing the issue. If you test on another workstation and it does not have the issue, have your IT update your computer settings to match the working workstation.
