A connection with the server could not be established activating OCR

  • In the CONTENTdm project client, you received an error "A connection with the server could not be established" when attempting to activate.

If you receive this message contact your local support to determine whether a Firewall and Antivirus is blocking outbound port 80.

The Project Client uses ABBYY FineReader Engine and requires an Internet connection to activate your license. Activating the ABBYY OCR license will place the license in your C:\ProgramData\ABBYY\directory.
