OPAC Status Codes, Descriptions and Notes

Find the codes used when uploading OLIB data to WorldCat or a third-party system.

Below is a list of OPAC Status Codes, Descriptions and Notes used when uploading OLIB data to WorldCat or another third party system.

Note: For EDS, the following statuses do not apply:

–EADD, -RETD, -HUPD, -PEND, -REJD, -ERRD, -SENT or –SENH.

-DNP	Do Not Publish	Titles with this status will not be supplied to third party OPAC or WorldCat
-ERRX	Error During Export	This indicates that an error occurred whilst trying to generate the MARC record for the title. Refer to the Internal Notes on the title record for details. The title will also be added to the “Title Export Issues” folder for the day on which the error occurred.
-EADD	Failed To Add Holding	The WorldCat metadata API failed to add a Holding record for this title. Refer to OCLC Support for further information or advice.
-RETD	Failed To Remove Holding	The WorldCat metadata API failed to remove a Holding record for this title. Refer to OCLC Support for further information or advice.
-HUPD	Holdings Update	When the WorldCat metadata API job next runs, it will attempt to update the holdings with additions and/or removals for this title (and its children).
-PEND	Pending Authorisation	When synchronising with WorldCat, titles must be “Authorised”. This carries out some essential validation on the MARC data to reduce the occurrence of rejections. Once authorised the record will be set to –RFP or RTP, depending on whether or not it has already been sent to WorldCat.
-RFP	Ready For First Push	Titles with this status have not yet been sent to an external OPAC. Before they are sent they will require an accession date within the configured range.
RTP	Ready To Update	Titles with this status are due to have an update sent to the external system during the next daystart run.
-DELD	Record / Holdings Removed	Titles with this status have been successfully sent for deletion to the third party FTP OPAC or the WorldCat metadata API has removed all of its holdings from WorldCat.
REFH	Refresh Holdings	The WorldCat metadata API job will refresh all holdings for this record. It will supply all currently associated symbols for this record and its children, together with a removal of holdings for any symbols removed since January 1st, 2013.
-REJD	Rejected	The record was sent to Batchload for WorldCat, but was rejected. Refer to the Internal Notes on the Title for further information.
REM	Remove Record / All Holdings	The record (or its holdings) will be removed from the external system the next time the process runs.
-ERRD	Responded With Error	The WorldCat metadata API responded with an unknown error. If this occurs more than the configured number of times in a 24 hour period, then synchronisation will be automatically stopped pending investigation.
-SENT	Sent To WorldCat	Daystart has supplied the record to Batchload for processing.
-SENH	Sent To WorldCat, Holdings pending	Daystart has supplied the record to Batchload for processing, but before the process has completed a Copy was added or removed. When the Batchload process completes, the holdings will be Refreshed.
-PUBD	Updated	The record has been sent to the third party FTP OPAC or a response has been received from Batchload and an OCLC Number assigned to or corrected on the title. No further action is anticipated.
RETD	Failed To Remove Holding	The WorldCat metadata API failed to remove a Holding record for this title. Refer to OCLC Support for further information or advice.
