How to generate a list of uniquely held titles (titles with only one holding)

Applies to

  • Collection Evaluation
  • OCLC Usage Statistics
  • WorldShare Record Manager

Answer

The best option is to use Collection Evaluation's Unique/Shared titles report. Access to Collection Evaluation comparisons requires a separate subscription. If your library does not have access, see more information and a quote request form.

If you do not have access, you can still get a sense of how many of your library's holdings are uniquely held. Go to Usage Statistics > Assessment Tools > WorldCat Collection Dashboard and view the Holdings Comparisons tab to see a chart listing how many of your library's holdings are unique, how many have 2-10 holdings, and so on. This report doesn't list the titles; it will only give you the numbers.

To see specific titles, you can do a keyword search in WorldShare Record Manager for your library holdings by using the search term li:[your library symbol], filtering as desired, and sorting by Library Count (Lowest First). You can change the number of rows on the results page to see more at once.
