Why does data from our Local Holding Records show up on article records outside of our print holdings?

- We use WorldShare Management System as our ILS and see local print data appearing on article records we don't own.

Resolution
The system matches WorldShare Record Manager holdings and Local Holding Records (LHRs) based on the ISSN. WorldCat Discovery sees the ISSN on the article record and looks in WorldShare Record Manager, where it finds that the library has holdings for the same ISSN and that LHRs are attached to it. It then displays those LHRs. In addition to ISSNs in the 022 $a, this matching process also applies to ISSNs in the 022 $y.
The LHRs only show on the WorldCat Discovery article record when the LHRs are attached to the journal holding with the highest number of library holdings. The record with the most worldwide holdings becomes the 'representative' record, and the logic picks that one to decide whether to attach LHRs to the WorldCat Discovery article record.
For example, if your library has its holdings set on an ePeriodical with 697 holdings worldwide and a print periodical with 1220 holdings worldwide:
- If both records have LHRs, the LHRs on the print record will display on the article in WorldCat Discovery
- If the print periodical has no LHRs attached, and the ePeriodical does, then no LHRs will appear on the article in WorldCat Discovery
