I get an error when I try to save my relevancy groups in the Service Configuration

Symptom
  • When saving the list of symbols in your relevancy groups, you receive the error, "We're sorry, service was temporarily unavailable. Please try again."

Answer

This error could mean that the OCLC Service Configuration is not able to match a portion of the data being entered to profiled data on our end.  Check that each symbol being entered is valid and has been correctly profiled by OCLC.

Verify each symbol has been registered as an Identifier for a library institution profile setup:

  1. Go to the WorldCat Registry
  2. Search the Registry for each symbol one by one
  3. Look under the Identifiers tab to find the symbol

If a symbol is not found in the WorldCat Registry, remove that symbol and try resaving the list.
