New features and enhancements
Improved messaging when executing a saved search in which all databases are missing
Previously, when a search was re-run from saved searches, search history, search alerts, or a bookmarked URL, and selected databases were no longer available, the search was run against the institution’s default databases, changing the search scope. This update ensures that the saved search is run with the user’s original query parameters and displays clear messaging about unavailable databases. This message will continue to persist until the user creates a new saved search/alert, removing any unsupported databases.
Bug fixes
Interlibrary loan request button will no longer open a new tab
The ILL form will now open in the current browser tab when the “Open in a new tab or window” setting is deselected in Service Configuration. Previously, the ILL form opened in a new tab regardless of an institution's selection for this setting, which prevented kiosk users—who cannot open new tabs—from submitting ILL requests. This update ensures that the button behavior aligns with the selected configuration.
The setting can be adjusted under WorldCat Discovery and WorldCat Local > Place Hold/Request Buttons > Resource Sharing (Any Level).
Course Reserves due date timestamp will match Circulation due date timestamp
The due date timestamp for Course Reserves items will display the correct time, addressing an issue where it previously appeared one hour off the expected time shown in the WorldShare Circulation (Circ) user interface. Now, the timestamp in Course Reserves will reflect the exact string provided by Circ, displaying only hours and minutes without seconds, AM/PM, or additional colons, and in 24-hour format if passed that way.
Chinese, Korean, and Japanese characters display correctly when utilizing OpenURL request buttons
Records containing Chinese, Korean, and Japanese characters now display correctly when an OpenURL request is initiated from WorldCat Discovery. Previously some users would see replacement characters entered on the ILL form.

Include Request ID with problem reports
When reporting an issue with WorldCat Discovery, it is extremely helpful to include the Request ID. The Request ID is found at the bottom of the screen on which the issue occurred. Including this information allows us to directly trace what happened on the request we are troubleshooting.
