Resume a catalog search using your search history

Discover how to resume a previous search in WorldCat Find.

WorldCat Find maintains a search history of your most recent searches which displays when you:

  • Tap in the search text field after launching WorldCat Find
  • Tap in the search text field and clear the current search

Tap a previous search in the search history to return to it. For recent searches, WorldCat Find will attempt to resume your search where you left off. You may receive one of the following messages if you originally scrolled through the search results or applied search filters:

  • Your search has been resumed.
  • Your search filters have been restored.

You can tap Reset to re-execute the search with any prior filters removed. If you'd like to resume the search in its current state, you can tap anywhere outside of the dialog or wait ten seconds for the dialog to disappear.
