If I try to create a new automation with the "Age of Material" match to be "0 but no older than 0" years I get an error message and I can't successfully save the new automation.

Symptom
  • I’m encountering a problem with editing our automation or creating new automation, that applies to current-year publications.  I want the automation to be “0 but no older than 0 years” so that it applies to requests with a current-year publication date.

    However, if I  make that automation, and then try to make a change to our constant data, I get this error message and can’t save the changes:

    The first value is invalid for field [Age of Material]; value [0]. Please specify a number greater than zero.

    The second value is invalid for field [Age of Material]; value [0]. Please specify a number greater than zero.

Resolution

The Automated Request Management (ARM) system does not require values to be put in both fields.  In fact, this is a good case where it would make the most sense to leave the first field blank and put 1 in the second field:
