What do I do when my ILL request says "Patron not linked"?

A "Patron not linked" error in WorldShare ILL means that the patron information in the request does not match a patron in the library's records. Try retyping the name or ID until the field auto-suggests the correct one. When you select the correct record, it will be linked and the alert should disappear.
If you get a View Patron button, click it to verify that the ID is the same. Make any changes necessary, save the information, and the "Patron not linked" message should disappear.
If there is no record for the user, it could be that your library has Provision on Demand for new users. If so, follow these steps.
