Unable to export to Sierra

Symptom
  • You are trying to export MARC records directly from Record Manager to Sierra, but only some of the records come over to the local system.
  • When exporting to Sierra, you receive a Server Communication error in Record Manager

  • WorldShare Record Manager
Resolution

Set the WorldShare > Metadata > Record Manager > User Preferences > Exporting - Bibliographic records > General >  Format to MARC 21 with UTF-8 Unicode.

If you are still unable to export records, confirm that the IP address and range for Record Manager have been added to your Sierra configuration. Sierra Cloud Services will need to allow access for both the IP and port ranges specified in this article: What is the IP range for Record Manager?
