I am receiving the error "You must deselect the currently selected collection before you are able to select this collection" in Collection Manager
Symptom
- You are trying to select a collection that is not currently selected and you are getting an error message that reads "Unable to Select Collection. You must deselect the currently selected collection before you are able to select this collection. By deselecting the collection, any changes you have made will be lost."

Resolution
If your institution already has a global collection selected and you attempt to select a shared version of that collection, the system will notify you. You will need to choose to keep the global collection selected or deselect it and select the shared version of the global collection.
If you are not trying to select a shared collection, this is likely a browser issue. Clear your browser's cache and cookies, close and reopen your browser window, and try again. Alternatively, try in a new private or incognito window.
