Request to delete an entity

Discover how to request the deletion of a duplicate or incorrect entity in OCLC Meridian.
  1. Click Actions > Request to Delete Entity above the Entity Label when viewing an entity's details.
  2. (Optional) If you are requesting to delete the entity because a duplicate exists, search for the duplicate entity in the Duplicate of this Entity text box.
  3. Click Send to request deletion of the entity.

     Note: While the entity is under review for deletion, a public banner will display at the top of the page indicating that the entity is a potential candidate for deletion.

  4. If the deletion request is approved, the entity will be removed from the system.
