Bibliographic constant data (Fundamentals)

In Record Manager Fundamentals, users at the same institution (same OCLC symbol) share a bibliographic constant data list. Your constant data records are not shared with users at any other institution.

Create bibliographic constant data records so that you can:

  • Avoid re-entering frequently used information when you create or maintain local bibliographic records.
  • Reduce typing errors and improve consistency among related bibliographic records.
  • Add specific fields, subfields, or other elements to multiple bibliographic records.
  • Develop and maintain standards for use in all bibliographic records, for certain collections, or for specific types of resources.
