Overview

The Item Status Statistics report is a dashboard-style set of visualizations to analyze the current makeup of your institution's circulation collection. Top-level KPIs (key performance indicators) provide quick statistics of item counts.

Report details

  • Dataset: Circulation Item Status
  • Data refresh rate: This report's data is updated nightly. It will be updated by 6 a.m. at your institution's data center time. The data will be "as of" the end of the previous day.
  • Data history start date: Snapshot (current data only)
  • Default date range: N/A
  • Report type: Interactive

Slicers

The Item Status Statistics report visuals have two slicers that can be applied to the visuals. Each slicer is set to All by default.

  • Item Material Format - Select one or more of the available values to update the report visual. The available values will depend on your institution's holdings.
  • Item Status Current Status - Select one or more of the available values to update the report visual. Values include:
    • Select all (default)
    • (Blank) - Do not use
    • Available
    • Claimed Never Had
    • Claimed Returned
    • Cleared
    • Dispatched
    • In Container
    • In Processing
    • Long Overdue
    • Lost
    • Missing
    • N/A - No status was assigned.
    • On Hold
    • On Loan
    • On Order
    • Overdue
    • Recalled
    • Recently Reviewed
    • Recently Returned
    • Scheduled
    • Transit
    • Unavailable
    • Withdrawn

Visuals

The Item Status Statistics report contains four visuals.

Count Items by Item Status Current Status

The total count of items in your collection by the item's current status.

  • Click an item status in the graph or the list to change all of the graphs in the visual.
  • Reclick the item status in the graph or the list to restore all visuals in the report to the default.

Item counts by the following current status types are also viewable in the right panel visual.

  • On Loan Item Count
  • Recalled Item Count
  • Overdue Item Count
  • Transit Item Count

Item Material Format Count table

The Item Material Format Count table provides the following information for each item in your collection:

Count Items by Item Call Number Main Class

The total count of items in your collection by call number main class.

  • Click a call number main class in the graph or the list to change all of the graphs in the visual.
  • Reclick the call number main class in the graph or the list to restore all visuals in the report to the default.

You can also drill down to the Item Call Number Subclass from this visual.

  • To navigate from the main class to the subclass, click the two double arrows (Screenshot of the double down arrows in WorldShare Reports in Power BI) in the upper right of the visual.
  • To drill down an individual main class to its hierarchical subclasses, click the single down arrow (Screenshot of the single down arrow in WorldShare Reports in Power BI) and then select a specific main class from the pie chart or list.
    • To return to the main class, click the single up arrow (Screenshot of the single up arrow in WorldShare Reports in Power BI).

Count Items by Item Record Type

The total count of items in your collection by item record type.

  • Click an item record type in the graph or the list to change all of the graphs in the visual.
  • Reclick the item record type in the graph or the list to restore all visuals in the report to the default.
