Disable a fund for new transactions

You can disable a fund to prevent it from being used for new transactions while allowing it to be used for existing order items and invoice items.

  1. From the left navigation, click Budgets.
  2. Select the current or next fiscal period budget from the Select Budget drop-down list and click Edit.
  3. Locate the fund that you want to disable for new transactions, and click the Edit Fund button (Edit Fund button) in the rightmost column.
  4. From the Fund Status column drop-down menu, select Disabled for New Transactions  Fund status: Disabled for New Transactions .
  5. Click Save.
    • If the fund you selected has child funds, the Apply fund status to child funds dialog opens. Select whether you would like to change the status of all the child funds of the selected fund.
      • Yes - The status for all child funds will update to Disabled for New Transactions.
      • No - The status for all child funds will not change.

After the fund has been disabled for new transactions:

  • It will be grayed out and unselectable in existing order and invoice items.
  • You can invoice an item or place an order for an item where the disabled fund was previously selected.
