Folio keyword searching is not efficient enough for busy systems and brings the database to a near stop.
Several adjustments were made to improve the query efficiency for systems with Default configurations. Both of these must be in place:
- A Single User Set which allows all users and the anonymous user;
- One Title Set with No level specified that excludes some Media Types and specifies no other additions or restrictions. Additional Media Types can be excluded.
The counts and filtering for the publication date facet have been reworked for efficiency. This data is maintained during daystart and will mean that new titles will not be available to these filters until daystart has completed after the publication date has been set or changed. The filter values are maintained for all possible publication date facets, even those that are not included for display.
Additional settings are generated during facet display, if they are not set. These settings will hide the counts for the facets to improve efficiency. The settings all start with "facet_show_count_", folowed by the facet type. Modifying these to "TRUE" will show the counts. Excluding the settings will hide the counts.

The advanced search form's searchfield setting starting with "ctrl " will specify a case insensitive search. Adjusting this to "ctrlx " will present a case sensitive search.
