IP Addresses History

Learn how to view IP Addresses History for your institution.

To access this screen, sign in to Service Configuration, open the IP Addresses left navigation, and select IP Addresses History.

Use this page to view a record of changes made to IP addresses.

To search for IP address changes:

  1. Select a Search by filter from the drop-down menu and complete the required search fields.
    • IP Range - Enter an IP range in the IP Range Value text field.
    • Date Range (default) - Enter a date (MM/DD/YYYY) in the Start Date and End Date fields. You can also click the Calendar button (service-configuration-calendar-button.png) and select a date for each field.
    • Modifying User ID - Enter a user's PPID in the Modifying User text field.
  2. Click Search Now. The Search results table will populate if there are results for your search query.
    • If your search parameters do not return results, you may receive one of the following error messages.
      • Date Range error message - No results found for the specified date range
      • IP Range error message - bad IP range (wrong number of separator dots): [IP range entered]
  3. (Optional) Click Reset Search to return the Search By filter to its default and remove all search parameters.

The Search results table contains the following columns. To sort the results, click on a column header.

  • Date/Time - The date and time the IP address was changed.
  • IP Range - The IP range that was changed.
  • Modifying User - Click View User to open the User Information dialog, which displays the user name.
  • Modifying Institution - Click the institution number to open the Institution Information dialog, which displays the institution name and library type for the institution that made the change.
  • Source - The source used to change the IP address. Source values include:
    • UI - IP Registry UI
    • WS - IP Registry web service
  • Changes - The changes made to the IP address.
