Why are there different results when searching FirstSearch vs. WorldCat Discovery?

Answer
FirstSearch and WorldCat Discovery use different search algorithms and base search indexes, so search results will not be the same between the two platforms. WorldCat Discovery applies FRBR logic to searches and defaults to a keyword (kw:) search. FirstSearch does not utilize FRBR and allows you to select a base search index.
Differences between the two platforms is expected.
