How can I see the call number for an item in WorldCat.org?

You can see the call number by viewing the item in a library's catalog. Here is what to do:

  1. Go to WorldCat.org.
  2. Perform a search for an item and click on a title in the search results to go to the item details page.
  3. Scroll down to the Find a Copy at a Library section to see a list of libraries that hold the item.
  4. If you'd like, you can check the Only public libraries checkbox to filter the list.
  5. Click the Borrow button next to the library whose catalog you'd like to view. You will be redirected to the library's catalog in a new tab.
