Use this screen to enter or revise your institution’s information, such as physical and postal street addresses, Web sites and telephone numbers. To access this screen, sign in Service Configuration, open the WorldCat Registry left navigation and select Name and Location.
When you are finished, click Save Changes to save and continue, or Reset to start over. Changes can take up to 24 hours to appear in the WorldCat Registry.
Institution Name
Use this section to add or change general information about your institution, and choose whether or not to make your information public.
Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

Name describing your institution. Include identifying information, such as consortium or branch name.

Alias name, common name, abbreviation, or English version of a non-English name, if applicable.

Select your institution type from the drop-down list. |
Secondary Type | Select an additional institution type to further describe the institution from the drop-down list. |
Test institution | Indicates an OCLC test institution. Contact OCLC Support if this is not the case. |
Training institution | Indicates an OCLC training institution. Contact OCLC Support if this is not the case. |

Edit the Institution Name
Edit the name of your institution, including branches, by signing into the WorldCat registry with the registry ID.
- Enter the Registry ID into the Select an Institution drop-down list.
- If updating the Institution Name for a branch, enter the Branch Registry ID.
- See Relationships for information about authorizing users for specific branch registry IDs. Contact OCLC Support if you do not have access to edit your branch locations in Service Configuration.
- Refer to the Holding Codes & Shelving Location Messages page for information about the Branch Registry ID.
- If updating the Institution Name for a branch, enter the Branch Registry ID.
- For information on signing into Service Configuration, see Signing In.
- Navigate to the Name and Location screen.
- Update the Institution Name.
- Select OK.
- Once you have edited the Institution Name, update the Display Name in the Holding Codes & Shelving Location Messages module.

Addresses
Enter an address for the institution. Address types include:

*Address Name | Enter a descriptive name for the address. |
Attention Of | Specify a contact name for the address. |
*Street Address 1 | Institution’s address. |
Street Address 2 | Other address information, such as P.O. Box, Suite, etc. |
*City | City of institution’s location. |
State or Province | Select your state or province from the drop-down list, if applicable. Drop-down values are available for the United States, Canada and Australia. ISO standard names, see ISO 3166 Country Codes. |
Zip or Postal Code | Postal or zip code of institution’s location. |
*Country | Select your country from the drop-down list. ISO standard names, see ISO 3166 Country Codes. |
Latitude | Your institution’s latitude. It is a set of data derived from an institution’s business or mailing address.

Longitude | Your institution’s longitude. It is a set of data derived from an institution’s business or mailing address.

Add an address
- Click Add Address. The Add New Address screen will appear.
You may also add a new address by using the Copy function. See Copy an address, below. - Complete the fields on the screen. If accepted, a confirmation message will appear. If not, an error message will appear.
- Select an address type from the drop-down list.
- Type information in the fields provided and select locations from the drop-down lists.
After selecting a State or Province, the Country is automatically selected. - Entering latitude and longitude will enable advanced features like a Map and auto-detection of your time zone. For further information, see: Map and Open Hours.
- Click OK to save or Cancel to start over. The address appears under Addresses.
Edit an address
Copy an address
- Click the check box next to the address.
- Click Copy Selected. The Add New Address screen will appear.
- Edit any desired fields.
- Click OK to save or Cancel to start over. The address appears under Addresses.
Delete an address
- Click the check box next to the address.
- Click Delete Selected.
Email Addresses
You can enter as many email addresses as needed.
Add an email address
- Click Add Email. The Add New Email screen will appear.
- Type an email address in the field provided.
- Click OK to save or Cancel to start over. The email address appears under Email Addresses.
Edit an email address
- Click the check box next to the email address.
- Click Edit Selected. The Edit Email screen will appear.
- Edit the email address.
- Click OK to save or Cancel to start over. The changes are made to the email address.
Delete an email address
- Click the check box next to the email address.
- Click Delete Selected. The email address is removed.
Phone/Web
Provide information about your telephone numbers and Web access. Click the check box if you have Wifi Access.
