A patron needs an item for a longer period than a typical interlibrary loan. How can I add a "Need Until" date to a new borrowing request?
Symptom
- You have a patron requesting an item that they need to have for more time than a usual ILL. For example, the book might be used for a book club or a longer project. Before you submit the request, you want to know how to specify a desired due date.

Resolution
When creating a borrowing request, there is no way to add a desired due date or "need until" date. However, you can add a desired due date when renewing a loan after you've already received the item. There will be an option at the top of the request to add a desired due date and select Renew item.
