In ILLiad, when trying to search in OCLC, we receive an error message about the underlying connection was closed

The issue happens when your ILL Authorization has been removed from OCLC.  Here are the steps you need to take.

  1. Go to your Customization Manager and find the Key Value for the OCLCILLAuthorization.
  2. Send a message to OCLC Support and let them know the error message you received and your OCLC ILL authorization.

We will respond either with the information you need to fix the issue.  Sometimes the fix will have to take overnight, so when we respond, you might have to wait another day for the solution to apply.

Additional Information

Another way to test it is to go to System > Search/Review Statuses and click on one.  You get an error message when you open a result on the right side.
