How often are the ILLiad Hosted sites backed up?

Answer

Each night, we have a full backup of the database.  There are incremental backups done hourly.  For the Web Servers there is a “VMWare” server (virtual server – not a physical server).  This virtual server is a “vmdk” instance.  A copy of that entire instance is made each night and if the entire server failed or became corrupted and couldn’t run, we could restore that entire VMDK (thus, “recreating” that server to yesterday’s date).

The backup is done for thirty days and then the backup is stored in a remote location.  Generally, it is easy to get a restore of a backup within thirty days.  Longer than that takes much longer to get a restore.
